What does Legal 18 mean at age 16?

Legal 18 means an actor under the age of 16 has graduated high school, either by passing the CHSPE or by finishing school early. Actors can work longer hours and parents do not need to be on set.  Parents must sign contracts and if they want to keep an eye on their child, they are allowed to be on set.

A teen who is emancipated can sign contracts, but still requires a set teachers.  See how this affects our members and maybe your child as well..
