Last week we talked about summer programs for actors and maintaining privacy at camp. This week we are going over protocols with your child’s agent and manager when going out of town for any length of time. It’s common for east coast summer camp programs to run as many as 7 to 8 weeks, which is a long time to book out. If your child is determined to attend a full-summer camp, you can do three things: book out completely for the full length of time, pick your child up for auditions or make arrangements with the camp to self tape.
Decide what works best for your child and family, then discuss it with the agent. If your manager is involved with auditions or needs to give input, include that rep, too.
