We talked about this back in February and found that unless you know your child’s agent has successfully negotiated a contract in the past, you won’t know in advance. That makes it difficult for a child who is suddenly offered the one big role of their careers, and then find their agent isn’t prepared or able to negotiate the kind of contract they need. What to do? Maybe find a good entertainment attorney who will work for you quickly as you often have only one day to make decisions and sign.
We also pulled up our detailed discussion of Disney and other child-centric network contracts and how to deal with them here. To keep this information available, we are creating a permanent page on this blog which you can bookmark for future use.
