Pinned

No, it’s not a frat pin which meant “going steady” in the 1950s (i.e. “not single”). It does mean being chosen.  In acting lingo, a “pin” is like a hold. It means they are interested, but not ready to offer a booking and a contract. We talk about this from different perspectives.

What does “pinned” mean?

When my child is pinned, how many others are as well?
