Pay to Play

There are an abundance of services geared toward selling actors things they don’t need.  What is the service they are selling is something you do need? Is there ever a time when you should pay to see an agent, manager or CD?  We like to say no, but we have been told that smaller market reps sometimes charge clients a fee.  Although we haven’t changed our position, in markets without a lot of work, reps may charge a small registration fee. You must research to help you decide if it’s a scam or if you feel it’s worth paying that fee or if you can find another rep who doesn’t charge.  When small market reps charge fees.
