This comes up occasionally, as a child is asked to shave all their hair for a role as a cancer patient or to cut it short to fit the character. For a big job, a parent and child may agree, but if the child’s hair length is part of who they are and why they are being cast, maybe there is another solution. A wig or skull cap might be an option. Another is turning down a role.
