What’s a Hollywood newbie?

TMZ published an article on “newcomer” Liana Liberato who was just cast in “Dear Eleanor.”  She has been acting steadily since 2005, which means this newcomer has been a professional actor for 11 years. The rate she is earning in an indie is above scale.  They meant she is an “unknown” which is not the same thing at all within the acting community.  The media has a different agenda than parents of actors. We are having fun with the distinctions, as well as a discussion on the benefits of “growing where you are planted.”
