Privacy again

As parents of actors is there any reasonable expectation of privacy when it comes to your children?  Some violations are unavoidable but you can do a lot to maintain your privacy by being aware of how your information is used. As an example, when you sign in to a website that asked for your zip code, your city of residence could be exposed, along with your name or your child’s name and other personal information.  Taking a step back, before signing up for acting-related sites that expose your child’s resume or profile, consider whether you need the site or not.  There are necessary websites where membership is usually specter by your child’s agent, like LA Casting, but a profile on a message board or a pay to play site is not.  Find out more about how to protect your privacy.
