“Stageparent” need not be a slur

We love this article posted by Bizparentz on their Facebook page and decided to share it here, too.  We started our forum in 2002 to pool information and support for parents of professional actors.  Yet since that time, the reputation of stage parents, both moms and dads, hasn’t improved much at all. It’s time to take that back and change minds and hearts.  In this article, Stephen C. Beer says there isn’t a social structure for parents of actors.  Actually, there are a couple.  Bizparentz is one. It’s a place for parents to get information and advice, and help if needed. Our forum is another.  We invite all parents of actors to join us to learn, to network and to support each other.
